Details of Experience:
Timothy Chadwick “Chad” has lived nothing short of an amazing life. Chad is from the Nashville area and grew up here his entire life. From a very young age, Chad has never let Cerebral Palsy get the best of him. He was on the Paralympic team and traveled all across the country participating in wheelchair rugby, track and field, and weight lifting. He was also the first handicap scout in his boy scouts’ troop where he spunked caves and went white water rafting.
Beginning in high school, Chad worked at AMC Movie Theaters for 25 years. A few years ago, Chad began to have symptoms of Spinal Stenosis, which caused him to have multiple falls ending up with a trip to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis. Chad and his family decided it would be best for him to receive care from a skilled nursing facility.
Nashville Center’s Admissions Director personally went to Chad’s hospital room to talk to him about the move to Nashville Center and all that we could provide him. Chad was thrilled to come to our community and transitioned perfectly. He loves the freedom he has but most of all love the activities department. He is also our Resident Council President and loves getting to know everyone. You can always catch Chad cruising the halls in his new electric wheelchair with a huge smile on his face!
